Design Notes: Kim worked with a local architect to transform an unfinished garage into a lofted studio apartment. The goals for the design finishes were to create a cozy space that felt larger than the actual size (400+ square feet) while immersing guests in a peaceful environment that provided a sense of respite from the hustle and  bustle of the city. The art deco flair of the kitchen tile and bedroom wallpaper paired well with the rustic cabin touches of the original lumber beams and reclaimed wood wall to create a modern, yet inviting space.
