Design Notes: Is your popcorn ready? This basement overhaul was sooo much fun. From the wall color to the tongue & groove stained ceiling to the comfy modular couch - we turned a completely bare space into a cozy movie room! Prior to the renovation, all you could see was the cement foundation wall and raw, cold floors. While working with the GC, we were able to frame in a section of the basement to create a perfect-sized space for the family’s dream of having a HUGE theatre screen and game room. We planed old cedar planks to make high shelves and upcycled a kitchen hutch to make a bar and game storage. Painting the concrete floor and adding wall art brightened up the space. Since it was a pet home, a natural jute carpet was a great fit . The clients were super happy and took their family time to the next level!
